Our House

We bought our house in Reston, Virginia , shortly after we got married. It was our first home that we bought together. We had looked at new houses, but everything being built in Northern Virginia now are huge houses on tiny lots. For the dogs, we definitely needed a big backyard. And that's what we found in an older neighborhood in Reston. We have a huge wooded back yard that the boys can dig up to their hearts content. We plan to stay here for a long time.

While the house itself is as old as Amy is, we've been updating some of the older parts. We already updated the two original full bathrooms on the second floor, sacrificing the sixth bedroom to make a sizable master suite with a big bathroom and a huge walk-in closet. Now we are starting to work on the downstairs rec room, getting rid of the old wood paneling and the drop ceiling.
